ABOUT MEHola! I'm a neuroscientist studying the processes that mediate animal decision-making in dynamic contexts. As a Postdoctoral Fellow in Kim Hoke's lab at Colorado State University, my work focuses on understanding the contextual constraints that influence male vocalizations and the neuronal mechanisms that allow females to respond to male mating calls in treefrogs.
Originally from Puerto Rico, I grew up in two beautiful paradoxes - a lush tropical island and the stunning Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I went to CU Boulder for undergrad, did a post-baccalaureate program at the University of Michigan, and received my PhD from the University of Texas at Austin. When not in the lab, you can find me playing with my dog Loki Bellbottoms, camping far away from civilization, or watching scary movies.
