BROAD INTERESTS
During my PhD work, I studied how dynamic social interactions modulate the way in which individuals learn new information. In particular I was interested in seeing how neural activity patterns vary as a consequence of aggressive interactions over time during the learning process.
For my postdoctoral work, I am exploring this 'timing' idea at behavioral and neurophysiological levels. In male treefrogs, I examine how social feedback changes vocalization patterns in the field. In female treefrogs, I am examining the timing of acoustic integration and how hormones modulate the neuronal response to produce context-appropriate behavior.
